Farm Fair 2008!

A family-friendly summer’s-end celebration of our region’s
“agri-cultural” bounty

Presented in cahoots with Hanford Mills Museum




 

Begin with a tour of Hanford Mills Museum in East Meredith and participate in 2–4 PM workshop/demos of traditional and clever ways to make the most of rural living. 3–6 PM at The Centre, shop at farm produce and crafts market; peruse silent auctions of artwork, antiques, goods, and services; enjoy the music of Tamarack band; visit a farm animal petting pen; enter the funny vegetable contest or play horseshoes; go on a hayride; and dine at a scrumptious regional foods buffet. (Dinner served 3–7 PM).

$25, $10 12 and Under (includes admission to the Mill Museum and workshops there, all 3 – 6 PM activities at The Centre, and a buffet dinner)

7 PM Square Dance with Hilt Kelly and the Sidekicks
Square dance with the masters! Fiddler and dance caller Hilton Kelly, a Delaware County native and inductee in the North American Fiddlers Hall of Fame, is a true regional treasure. He and his “Sidekicks” (including wife, Stella) will play and Hilt will call the dances. Beginners welcome; dances will be taught.
