Time Wearing Out Memory - Schoharie County

Book signing at the Lee Boys concert on June 6

These elegant and evocative photographs, from their new book "Time Wearing Out Memory, Schoharie County," published May, 2008 by W.W. Norton & Company, portray the oldest continuously farmed county in New York as it was and as it is today.

“In these wonderful images can be found the soul of a nation, a legacy that is fast disappearing in the face of developers’ relentless march.”—Ken Burns

Steve Gross and Susan Daley are masters of photography who often document historical architecture. They have published seven previous books including Catskills Country Style, Creole Houses, and Old Florida. Always fascinated with the American landscape, they love to drive on back roads exploring the overlooked and seeking out authentic and interesting buildings that define the many distinct regions of the country. They live in New York City & North Blenheim.
