2017 YOUNG PEOPLE’S THEATER ARTS WORKSHOPS:
Taught by Terry Bradshaw
Monday–Friday, July 10 – 14, 1–4:00 PM
$110/$190 (WKC member)
Ages 6–9; Pre-registration required
Theater professional Terry Bradshaw will use group improvisation and creative play to teach basic acting skills. Teamwork, self-confidence, storytelling, body awareness, and a sense of adventure are developed as children learn to take to the stage and transform it using their bodies, voices, and imaginations. The workshop concludes with a performance for family and friends.
Terry Bradshaw has worked with children of all ages in numerous capacities. For several years she has helped run Performance Plus’s (a theater group from Stamford, NY) two-week summer theater camp where children, aged six to twelve, write, rehearse, and perform a play. She has also been Technical Director for the Stamford Central School Drama Club plays for the last seven years. In 2001, she ran a poetry workshop for children and the output from that workshop, along with contributions from local and NYC schools, became Watermarks, a published anthology of student literary and art works focused on the theme of the NYC watershed.
Please note: All scheduling conflicts must be cleared before registration.
Cut-off ages are as of July 2017.
