PAST WORKSHOP: Plant Foraging Identification Walk and Wild Food Tasting

Plant Foraging Identification Walk and Wild Food Tasting w. Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower
August 18
1pm – 5pm
$20

Due to popular demand we have added a second Plant Walk to our program. Join Wild Foods Forager and Plant Medicine person Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower for a fun and informative wild foods foraging walk. This one will take place at an off site location in East Meredith, NY. Identify Plants and Trees easily for their food, qualities, crafts and traditional folk remedies in how they benefit humans, animals, land and place. At completion of the afternoon, we’ll enjoy three wild food tastings prepared by Marguerite that are dairy, gluten, nut and seed free. There will also be time for shared exchange on living in wellness with outdoor life with an open Q/A.

In lieu of new findings by the American Botanical Council, a botanical research organization for Plant Medicines, a feature
of this class (in addition to the wild edibles, wellness & food tasting) Marguerite will introduce making one's own superior extracts from wild Plants we see. This is due to recent findings that were reported by the council that there are ineffective diluted Botanical Extracts on the market. The process is easy, simple and cost effective. Also provided will be a list of reliable Botanical Extract companies.

Bring water, pen and paper, and wear tick/insect repellent.

Handouts will apply to Plants we identified which will be electronically sent the following day. Pre-registration is required.

Marguerite Uhlmann-Bower is Plant Medicine educator, Wild Foods Forager and Earthist activist for EarthSchool at Plant Pioneers where attention is given to becoming relational with the land-that-surrounds-us through traditional ways of living with Earth systems. Cancellation Policy:

Please consider carefully before signing up for one of our classes or purchasing for another person. Due to the small class size for in-person workshops, each participant makes an important contribution to the group dynamic and canceling within short notice can make it difficult to fill your spot. If you do need to cancel, please be aware of our policies:

Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to the start date of a workshop in order to receive a refund.

Registration and material costs (if applicable) will be refunded, minus a non-refundable $25.00 registration fee. Although extremely rare, we reserve the right to cancel any class up to 48 hours beforehand for a full refund.
