Maeve Gilchrist

Harpist, singer, composer, & producer Maeve Gilchrist has taken the Celtic (lever) harp to new levels of performance and visibility.

Maeve Gilchrist (Celtic harp) & collaborator Kyle Sanna (guitar) play music from The Harpweaver. Inspired by "The Harp Weaver", a poem by Edna St Vincent Millay, this is Gilchrist’s first album as a composer, producer, & arranger —"a snapshot of a musician at the top of her game"—Irish Times.

7:30pm outdoor concert

6:30pm — grounds open; picnic with your pod before the show! Dinner is available on-site from The Tulip & The Rose Cafe, food sold separately, no preorders.

Tickets are sold by the “pod”— pick your group size & location (under tent, lawn, or “backyard”); single lawn tickets are also available. Free lawn tickets for children 12 & under! (no advance ticket needed)

Advance tickets are recommended as tent seating is limited; walk-ups are welcome but will want to bring their own lawn seating. Advance ticketing closes at 8PM on Friday, August 27.

Please call (607) 278-5454 or contact info@westkc.org with any questions.

Born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, and currently based in Brooklyn, New York, Maeve‘s innovative approach to her instrument stretches its harmonic limits and improvisational possibilities. She is as at home as a soloist with an internationally renowned orchestra as she is playing with a traditional Irish folk group or using electronic augmentation in a more contemporary, improvisatory setting.

Maeve has released five albums to date, including her most recent recording, Vignette, on Adventure Records, with bassist Viktor Krausse while, on her own label, her solo Ostinato Project is a beguiling exploration of the possibilities of her instrument. In 2018 Maeve was a featured soloist on the Dreamworks blockbuster movie soundtrack, How to Tame Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
