Contemporary Flair and Timeless Elegance

Piano & Trumpet

Willem Frieswijk (trumpet) and Irina Osetskaya (piano, trumpet) perform a charity concert every year. In past years, they have financed bicycles for 17 schoolchildren in India and built a fully-equipped library in Africa. This October, the West Kortright Centre is honored to be both the host and the recipient of the OSETSKII Duo's musical excellence and generosity.

Since then, he has been involved in many styles of music, including baroque and classical music, as well as swing and blues.

Irina Osetskaya began studying the piano from age three, taught by her mother, a professional cellist and pianist. She attended the Conservatorial Music College and the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, where she graduated in 1995. She was then invited to study at the Prince Claus Conservatoire of Groningen and graduated with Paul Komen in 1998. Irina is employed by the Conservatoire Groningen as an accompanist and coach. She also teaches piano to private pupils and often gives masterclasses piano and chamber music.
